Bridge Structural Inspections (Spain) - Singular Structures

Commissioned as a Structural Bridge Expert to support the delivery of inspection reports for nearly 300 bridges for the Rail Infrastructure Authority in Spain.

Main tasks involved reviewing and providing guidance on Inspection Reports, including both Principal and Special Inspection Reports, as well as offering clarification to the Rail Infrastructure Authority when needed.

Special inspections included bridge bearing assessments and evaluations of the bridge's hydraulic capacity under maximum design river flow conditions.

Additionally, these inspections focused on identifying structural deficiencies, assessing material deterioration, and recommending necessary remedial actions to ensure the continued safety and functionality of the bridges.
