Sognefjorden Crossing (Norway)
Feasibility study of a floating tunnel solution for a 3.7 km highway crossing of the Sognefjord at Lavik - Oppedal as part of the new E-39 highway. The water depth is 1250m at the site location. Special focus was given to the Inspection and Maintenance/Operation Strategy for the Tunnel Safety and Life Time Performance on Structures, Pontoons, Joints, Bearings, M&E Equipment, Fire Protection Systems and Security Systems among others. Joint effort was provided with Olav Olsen and Reinertsen.
