Lead main tower design reviewer responsible for the review of Stone Cutters tower design, which design was developed by third party (winning proposal at Concept Stage).
The tower is a central circular tapered tower with steel top section. This included the review of the composite concrete-steel tower structure and tower base anchorage, over a total height of 259m, located between two parallel box girders, one for each carriage way. The review focused on the following items, but not limited to:
a) Load transition between concrete and steel structure;
b) Impact of the tower performance due to a rigid connection between the deck and the tower;
c) Rigid connection (monolithic joint) between the tower and the longitudinal box girders, and;
d) Dynamic behavior of the tower under wind, both at construction and final stage.
