This is a proposal for an upper arch bridge, in the competitive process by selective process, which provides a bypass road for traffic between Chur and Arosa using variant 22. The bridge elegantly spans the picturesque Schanfiggertal on the outskirts of Chur. The concrete bridge has a total length of 464 meters and an arc length of 280 meters. The total length of the project is 640 meters, including an access road and parts of the causeway. The carriageway box girder is made of prestressed concrete with a constant depth of 2.8 meters. The arch is a tubular steel section injected with a pressure concrete grout, whose geometry tapers towards the highest point. From the first moment, the frame formed by the tubular section only allows the support of equipment and other temporary structures allowing the optimization of resources and spaces. Consortium Team: TYLin International, Shannon and Wilson, Singular Structures Engineering.
